Will we every see Virtual Boy Wario Land on the eshop?

Yeah it just fits perfectly, doesn't it? I don't see any reason not to do it.

Can you remember the first time you saw Wario in a game?

Oops yeah it's supposed to be MK64.

What should Sakurai develop next? Wario Super Star Uprising Air Ride Adventure?

Well I don't dislike Game & Wario, I just prefer platform/adventure games. And I don't think Sakurai would make a platform/adventure game for Wario (since he clearly doesn't care about the Wario Land side of the Wario series).

What should Sakurai develop next? Wario Super Star Uprising Air Ride Adventure?

Hell no. Sakuari has shown that he's at least capable of doing DK justice (he and Diddy were protrayed very well in SSE), yet he has been nothing except incompetent with his handling of Wario. I imagine he would make a Game & Wario styled minigame collection, but with more menus and a lot more...

Will we every see Virtual Boy Wario Land on the eshop?

It just pisses me off that a classic Nintendo game is being relegated to the same status in Nintendo history as the likes of games like Mario is Missing and Hotel Mario, all because it was released on a failed console. It makes no sense.

Can you remember the first time you saw Wario in a game?

That's a good question. It's rather amazing that Wario managed to get into SM64 considering how he was made by a different team and hadn't yet appeared in that many games. I guess it must have been due to his popularity.

Is Wario the Japanese translation of a stereotypical American?

Impatient yes (though not really as much as you'd expect), but other than that he just acts like a normal guy who's learning about something new for the first time. I mean he understands everything he's being taught about game design and he's able to communicate in an articulate manner...

Can you remember the first time you saw Wario in a game?

This was my first exposure to Wario (it's actually extremely nostalgic seeing it again after all these years): I was never able to remember the name of the game, but for many years I remembered this commercial and the fact that Mario had a game in which he fought an evil counterpart named...

Is Wario the Japanese translation of a stereotypical American?

I'm more concerned about the "not very bright" thing. When was that ever portrayed? He seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders to me, especially when it comes to making money. I mean he does run his own business, after all.

Will we every see Virtual Boy Wario Land on the eshop?

So I came across this video of an emulated version of VB Wario Land: And I just can't help but wonder why we haven't gotten this on the eshop. It's a polished, great looking game that's just sitting there in Nintendo's backlog, readily available to sell to us. I assume they paid a decent...

Is Sabrewulf like Wario Land 4?

I never thought about the similarity to Wario Land before, but yeah the "run back to the beginning" mechanic is very much like the one in Wario Land 4 and Shake It. And yeah, the art style is definitely channeling Donkey Kong Country. And the overworld sections remind me of Conker's Pocket...

Should there be a Diamond City sandbox game?

Yeah I think it's pretty sexist to judge a lady character based on her looks, when no one here is gonna suggest ditching Wario just because he's not Playgirl Magazine material. Not necessarily any. Missions involving Captain Syrup could be exclusive to Wario, while other characters would have...

Do you main Wario in Smash Bros for 3DS?

I do enjoy playing as Wario as one of my regulars, though he's not one of my mains. As unfaithful as his moveset is, it's still well designed from a gameplay standpoint and his motorcycle is heaps of fun (and juvenile though it may be, KOing someone with a well-timed fart is always extremely...

What does Nintendo have against Wario anyway?

Yeah that's true, they didn't exactly stop promoting Wario's greedy personality in the Ware games. But I wonder who at Nintendo is responsible for promoting it? And if the people at the top are really all that fond of it (not that they hate it, either, but like you said, it's their black sheep)...

    Thoughts on Wario's Woods?

I looked up Tuper Tario Bros, and yeah, it looks pretty cool. It seems to use the Henry Hatsworth method of alternating between block-laying and platforming. And I just remembered another recent puzzle-platformer I've been enjoying: Pushmo World on Wii U. Anyway, now that I'm thinking about...

So, where are Wario Land's locations meant to be anyway?

I think the consistent presence of warp pipes suggests that the games take place on Mario's world. But who knows, maybe Wario himself is an alternate dimension counterpart of Mario and his dimension also has a bunch of warp pipes, which is how he gets to Mario's dimension in the first place.

What gives the first two games that certain charm?

Yeah I couldn't agree more. In Sunshine and earlier, every Mario game had its own look to it that kept things from becoming sterile. Now they've basically put a block on any new art styles from coming out. Notice how even the RPGs are using styles introduced over a decade ago. Back then a new...

    Thoughts on Wario's Woods?

I love this game. It's managed to grab my attention in a way most other puzzle games cannot (the only other one I've had as much fun with is "Henry Hatsworth in the The Puzzling Adventure"). I really wish more puzzle games would incorporate an action/character element to the puzzles, because it...

What does Nintendo have against Wario anyway?

I wonder if Nintendo's disinterest in Wario Land is because they don't think the greedy treasure hunter concept fits in very well with their modern, casual-centric, clean, white-washed, family-focused image they adopted as of the Wii/DS era. That's when they really started to push Wario Land...

What gives the first two games that certain charm?

I think a thing with series (not just games, but also animation) that maintain a consistent long-running artstyle is that the artstyle will become more "clean" and "systematic" as the series goes on, losing a lot of the raw artistic expression it had at first.
