Dr. Mario 64 and Wario Land 3

Completely forgot about this topic but it got me thinking. I took a look at the credits for both games and didn't really see much overlap aside from the "Special Thanks" section, with R&D1 being listed under said section for Dr. Mario 64 which leads me to believe that R&D1 didn't make the game...

Upcoming Game Kira-Kira Catgirl Rampage: Upcoming Wario-like

Oooh I'll need to keep tabs on this. Looks pretty good though reminds me more directly of Pizza Tower. Now I'm wondering how these so-called "Wario-likes" might look in the future. Will they take inspiration from Wario Land or will they be more inspired by Pizza Tower and possibly Anton Blast to...

My idea for an Ashley and Waluigi game!

Definitely have a better picture of the high octane pacing you want in terms of telling the story. Even though it doesn't seem like the kind of game that would have a particularly deep story I can see how this kind of storytelling would keep one glued to what's going to happen next.

My idea for an Ashley and Waluigi game!

GOD HAND MENTIONED But ahem, definitely an interesting idea for a game even if it's only an idea and not meant to be a real game. I definitely have enjoyed games that intertwine gameplay with cutscenes and well done well can really help with the pacing so I feel like gameplay wise this would...

Yeah, I get it. You've indicated before that you haven't really been interested in Wario for a while now. Still it's nice to see an old face show up from time to time. I myself only show up from time to time as well. It's just interesting how people still find themselves showing up here even...

Not Feeling Great About Wario's Future

I could also see some of this as Nintendo testing the waters in terms of demand for non-Ware Wario games. Hopefully enough people play them!

Not Feeling Great About Wario's Future

I certainly hope so and this is definitely good momentum we're getting but I'm still cautiously optimistic. It takes comparatively less effort to rerelease old games than to make a new one. Perhaps I'm still too jaded but Wario Land isn't the only dormant series I'm a fan of so I'm used to these...

"Puzzle" as a whole isn't really a helpful term since it usually means either a falling block game or something like a platformer that heavily incorporates puzzles into its mechanics like the aforementioned Portal. I usually don't take genres too seriously. Similar to music, I just use it as a...

What Wario songs could come to Mario Kart World in future?

Hard to say as of right now. Neither of these choices are too surprising, Rice Beach has been referenced in Mario Kart before and the first Wario Land is usually the one that gets referenced the most. Drifting Away isn't too surprising as we get a steady stream of WarioWare games still...

Does anyone else just prefer forums to social media sites?

I wouldn't say I "prefer" it necessarily. I'm fond of them but I always felt like they have the significant drawback of being a little too insular and can be intimidating to join as a lot of forums are very established and it can be difficult for newer members to really want to join. That being...

I'm a big Mega Man fan (my name comes from Magma Man from Mega Man 9), though I really wish they would make something that isn't classic Mega Man for once. Still, I'm happy to see it either way.

WARIO WORLD ON THE NSOEXP DEAL!!!

I am cautiously optimistic about what this will really mean in the long term if much of anything but this is definitely a step in the right direction.

Which Wario series would you want to see Waluigi in?

I would say that's more Nintendo throwing a bone to fans rather than Nintendo changing their stance. By "weird" I mean very pick and choosy, rather than completing ignoring or going against anything they didn't make. Otherwise, they could've probably changed Donkey Kong's design long ago. Of...

Which Wario series would you want to see Waluigi in?

Nintendo has always been rather weird with things they didn't make. Compare Nintendo's treatment of Waluigi to Toadette's, another character that was just created to be a partner character in a spin off. Similarly, Nintendo is also kind of strange when it comes to Rare's contributions to...

Which Wario series would you want to see Waluigi in?

I've always had a rather harsh opinion of Waluigi and that hasn't necessarily changed but I've always been somewhat open about him appearing in something that allows him to develop more as a character. I agree with you in that I think he would work best in either a game for himself or a game...

Wario Land Oddities: Where is Wario Land II?

Huh... I never noticed that actually. The Wario Land II page on Mario Wiki doesn't even have a "References in later games" section that most games have. I guess its biggest legacy is that it really solidified the style of gameplay in Wario Land games. Otherwise, stuff like characters, imagery...
