What's interesting is that 9-volt and 18-volt don't get along in DIY/Showcase. As we see in 18-volt's cutscene after the boss. Why?

What's going on is that Wario started another company, Wario-Man Software, just to get more employees at his first company by pretending everyone left, when they're actually sitting on an island at Wario-Man Software, whose games can be played in Showcase. Furthermore, some of them didn't like this plan, they consisted of Mona, Jimmy T, Ashley and Red, Orbulon, and 9-volt and 18-volt. Who decided to go work for Diamond Software instead.

Wait, I hear you saying, wasn't 18-volt in Showcase too? He worked at Wario-Man Software didn't he? Isn't that what this whole thing is about?

And to you I say, good eye! What happened next is theoretical, and may be wrong.

9-volt, at first, wanted 18-volt to make games with him, as he had never made games before, because he was at 9-volt's side playing HIS games this whole time. So he decided to give him a shot. But after seeing the quality of 18-volt's games, he decided to send 18-volt back to Wario. Which is why in 18-volt's cutscene, 9-volt appears to be faking him out.
