Anyone else like the treasure system in these games?

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
Honestly, I've always loved collecting these trinkets in levels, especially when they've got funny designs and descriptions that fit the feel of the franchise to a tee. For example, some of my favourite Wario Land: Shake It treasures include:

Silver Armor

Armor forged of pure silver. Stylish? You bet. Practical? Not in the slightest.

Manly Moai

It's hard to compete with the manliness of a guy made completely of stone.

Something Important

Somebody said that this is really important or something. What's the big deal?

Hypno-Specs

Hypnotize your friends! Hypnotize your enemies! Basically, just hypnotize everybody!

Hotter Sauce

Hotter than any normal hot sauce. No, hotter than that. Hotter. Keep going...

Energy Drink

Looks like cough syrup. Tastes kind of like cough syrup, too. Wait a minute...

Play Money

Experience the feeling of being a millionaire without any of the actual wealth!

Train Timetable

A schedule for the Derailed Express. Huh. It's scheduled to derail at 4:15. Weird.

Rainbow Toucan

Some birds fly so high that they become rainbows. This bird is just wearing makeup.

Venus Guytrap Seed

Grow your own Venus Guytrap! You know...in case you need to trap some guys.

Message in a Bottle

"Send help! I'm trapped in a bottle factory! Right next door to the fortune-cookie place!"

Meanwhile in Wario: Master of Disguise:

Pompadour of Legend

A collapsible pompadour that stretches almost nineteen feet in length. Though somewhat uncomfortable to wear, the secret inner pocket can hold loose change or small pets.

Discarded Doctor Scrubs

The garb of a true hero. Perhaps these scrubs were once used by a world-class heart surgeon! ...Or maybe it was just a cut-rate proctologist.

Friendly Clown Autograph

Clownie the clown is the least frightening of all clowns, which is why his autograph is highly prized among coulrophobics. ...Go look it up.

Forever X-ray Glasses

This amazing treasure lets you look through absolutely everything...which means that you end up seeing NOTHING AT ALL! Think about it.

Rich Man's Ice Cream

This unbelievably tasty foie gras ice cream comes from caviar-fed cows that sleep on mattresses stuffed with the world's finest straw. But it still smells of dairy air.

Spangly Celebrity Garb

Some believe that simply donning this spangly outfit will transform you into a famous movie star! Others think such things require actual talent.

Superfantastical Money Tree

Sure, it sounds fancy. But it's just a plant. A boring old potted plant. Slap anyone who tries to tell you otherwise.

Bluebird of Luckiness

A blue bird that brings good luck and vast fortune to any who possess it. It can also escape from even the sturdiest of cages, as it knows how to pick locks and bribe guards.

Paranoid Bear Carving

It may look like a nice little bear carving, but it's actually a malevolent alien robot sent to spy on your every move. Don't turn around.

Game & Watch 9000

An amazing handheld game unit with FIFTY screens! When unfolded, it takes up as much space as a timeshare condo.

Vengeful Robot Controller

This remote allows you to summon a giant robot hidden deep within the bowels of the earth and unleash him on your unsuspecting enemies. But it's out of batteries.

Forbidden Cheat Sheet

This hidden cheat sheet is 100% undetectable, and so effective that it has been banned from the classroom by international treaty.

But yeah anyone find these kinda hilarious and hope they return in the next game? Also bonus points for this basically being AI before AI:

Homework-O-Matic

A hat that does your homework for you. Unfortunately, a design flaw causes it to occasionally slip the phrase "by the great beard of mighty Zeus!" into essay questions.

Any game that gives you a collection of unique trinkets to collect with descriptions from the main character is a winner in my book, and MoD and ShakeIt are no exceptions. I do particularly like how each treasure in the former has a price listed, which fluctuates to absurd degrees between treasures for no real reason.
Although I do prefer how WL3 had you use some of the treasures you collected to unlock new levels, I would like a WL sequel to implement both elements of these systems.

A system that both has funny descriptions and gameplay uses would definitely be the best of both worlds here, and liven up the game's collectables.
