Could Waluigi appear in a future Wario game?

As you all know, Waluigi has never appeared in a Wario game. I don't particularly like him, but I have some concerns about the way he has been treated from the past to the present.

In my opinion, the character is well established in WarioWare, so it's unlikely that Waluigi will appear. However, if a new Wario Land comes out, I feel that Waluigi could appear. There's no particular reason, but I just feel that way.

What I'm trying to say is that Waluigi should be used more. It's a shame that his exploits are still limited to Mario spinoffs.

A little bit off topic, but I think Waluigi's future would change dramatically if he appeared alongside Wario in the next Mario movie. Waluigi could play an important role in Mario games alongside Wario, and he might be treated much better than he is now.

What do you all think?

One can only hope he would add so much more to a wario game. There could even be a sort of antithesis to mario and luigi brothership where instead of being extremely synergetic through cooperative effort the wario bros instead are extremely synergetic through their selfishness and antics with each other. I could see it panning out in a lot of different ways; microgames where they compete in the business with each other and it ends up introducing many many more characters and will give developers excuses to put in loads of games, an rpg, or even a platformer.

But personally and because I didn't get my fix from brothership I'd liek to see a wario bros RPG where wario beats the enemy with waluigi or waluigi sets wario up a bomb and wario runs like batman on the pier at the enemies or the like.

I don't know if he'd really fit in a WarioWare or a Wario Land game but I really want Nintendo to do more with the guy. Like @Red Rice said, I agree that if they decide to include Waluigi in the Mario Movie Sequel, it would be a big change for him. And I know some people say "But Waluigi was just created to give Wario a partner in Mario Tennis, nothing more" and though that's true, Luigi was only created to be player 2 in Mario Bros. but ended up being a really cool and distinct character from Mario, having more of personality than Mario himself.

In all, I think that Waluigi is more of a Mario character than a Wario character, putting him in a WarioWare/Land game would feel out of place.... Actually now that I think about it, he could maybe work in WarioWare. Not included like the other characters (Mona, Jimmy etc.) but maybe as some kind of special character. Maybe an antagonist to a WarioWare game or something.

If we ever get a new Wario Land game, I always thought it'd be cool to have Waluigi as the secret main villain. But you don't find that out till near the end of the game.

It'd be a cool twist with Waluigi out for revenge for all the years of being left out. And never being anything more than Wario's tennis partner.

I hope not.

lmao seriously speaking, personally I would prefer Waluigi to have his own outing. The Wario Land games don't feel very connected to the Mario games so it would feel weird to have Waluigi appear. Would be like Mario appearing in the Donkey Kong Country games imo.

That being said, wouldn't be totally opposed to a different kind of Wario series unrelated to Land and Ware that features Waluigi. Similar to how Donkey Kong Country and Mario Vs Donkey Kong are kind of separate series.

That's actually what I was going for my idea about Waluigi being an antagonist in a WarioWare game. I just thought that WarioWare might be more fitting. I don't really see Waluigi being being a final boss in Wario Land game where Wario and Waluigi try to actively kill each other (although it definetely sounds funny); in a WarioWare game Walugi could try to sabotage one of Wario's plans for example. I'd imagine a final boss where he'd be hijacking the game and trying to mess you up, similarly to Gold's final boss.

Now, is it a realistic expectation ? No. But I still think it's cool.

That actually sounds brilliant. Having a Waluigi themed stage where he's trying to sabotage Wario would be funny as hell!

I feel like either one of the two Wario genres where Waluigi is out for revenge would be dope.
Actually, it feels long overdue.
