Do the People Around You Know of Wario?

I'm just wondering if anyone lives in a place where Wario is known.

I do, but they don't know that Wario is more than just a fat guy.

My whole family plays the Wario Land and WarioWare games. A lot of my friends know him from the Mario spinoffs but have never played the Wario games.

They won't listen to me, a big reason why they don't like him is because they know I'm a fan of him, so they'll make fun of him.
When it comes to game choice my friends are'nt the best so I would'nt expect them to like land or ware.
I've had strange things happen when a friend of mine tried ware...

My family knows that hes a Mario character, but that's about it. My friends know a few of his microgames, but mostly know him in Project M. I have no idea about anyone else, I don't go out much

I generally keep the company of other nerds, or at least people who play/are familiar with video games. Naturally, people tend to understand what I'm wearing when I pull out my Wario hat. Especially because I do it almost exclusively when I sit down to play video games.
