Do you think you can draw Wario well?

What do you think about your own art skills?

I don't know if I think I can draw Wario well, but here are some attempts I tried recently. What do you think about your own art skills? Do you think you are great, or crappy? Bit o' both?

The first one is my first attempt at drawing Wario. The second one is my second attempt. I don't think I'm good at lineart OR coloring. DX ... But at least they are recognizable, lol.

I think I'm pretty decent! I have a thread in the Fan Works section, which I think you've already seen. It took like two years to transfer him into my style, though...
I also think yours are pretty good! My only advice is to keep drawing him with references (like you've been doing, probably, cause it's hard to without 'em) and you'll gradually understand his shapes more, which will make your Warios more... solid? Idk what I'm saying honestly. Just keep drawing him. :SHappy: You also do a really good job at replicating the canon style, something I have a lot of trouble with!!

Thank you! You are very kind. :) I think you are really good at drawing too! It's cool that you have come up with your own style. That, for me is hard to do. All I can do is copy other people's styles lol DX

Awww, he's so cute! I love the way you drew his face! ^_^He looks so happy! I think you've done a great job! ^_^
Thanks! Your drawings are pretty good too, very close to the canon style.
I would definitely suggest working on the lining a little bit, but beyond that, it's pretty solid stuff all around.

Thank you so much! I agree, my lines aren’t very clean. That’s because my hands are so shaky and I can’t keep them still. (I’m not sure how to fix that.) DX But still, I appreciate your kind words. :) I’m going to try to draw Wario more next time! (And maybe Mona. ;) )

My hands are pretty shaky too, sometimes, and I find that the best way to get clean lines is to first sketch out your image-- it's kind of line a shotgun blast versus a rifle: if you mess up with the latter you're fucked, but with the former you're much more likely to reach your target. Ironically, drawing so many little quick and sometimes erratic lines helps to fine-tune your image. I don't know if you're doing this already or what, but it's always best to sketch out your lines using lots of thin strokes, as they can be erased with next to no effort and won't cause you to erase the final lines hardly at all.

Okay so I've never sketched in MS Paint before, but I gave it a shot to see if it'd help prove my point at all

That one stray line just below the left nostril lobe that phases into the mustache was actually the first line I drew in the attempt to draw said nostril lobe, which I think says a lot about whether it helps. I tend to draw straight-up fuckin' lines from the start, and don't do sketch lines beforehand, and as a result I kind of just end up being like "eh. eh. eh." You're an artist, so you know what those noises are accompanied by ;P.
