Does Dr Mario World Imply Waluigi may end up in more Mainstream Mario Games?

Given that Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have all now been found in a game that was previously only limited to the most 'safe' main series characters and styling?

Personally, I'm optimistic this may be the case. After all, Daisy went from being a spinoff only character to appearing in Super Mario Run, and Toadette has gotten a lot more attention recently with Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and Mario Maker 2.

So perhaps Waluigi may make a similar transition. Maybe with Wario himself coming back to the main series too, like in Super Mario 64 DS.

Dr Mario World's roster just seems like a typical modern Mario Kart roster so I don't see why anything would be different just from this alone.

It's more surprising to see Waluigi appearing in a R&D franchise.

What gave me more hope actually was Waluigi’s outfit appearing in Super Mario Odyssey. But I’m happy to see he’s included here.
