It was a nice evening. Ashley was walking in the park alone, trees filled the area. The leaves blowing in the wind, the sound of birds on a nice summer day. Ashley never really liked days like these, normally she'd like rainy days and something gloomy like that. But today would be the start of a very great friendship.
While Ashley was walking along the path she saw two rather large men, she thought nothing of it really. She knew if anyone ever tried to mug her or even hit on her that would be the last thing they did. literally. As she got closer she noticed that those two guys were trying to mug a girl. She had orange hair and was about the same height as herself.
She could very well be the same age as Ashley, a little young.
"Hand over everything you got, girly" the man in a black vest said holding up a knife to the girls neck
"That's all I have! I swear" the girl said in a panic. "Please I'm begging you. Don't hurt me" she cried out.
The man with the knife got closer "You think we'll believe you, rich girl? We know all about you and your family's wealth"
Ashley could help, but she doesn't really care what happens to anybody else. She tried to walk along like nothings happening but one of the men spotted Ashley. Thinking she'll go for help the man with a white shirt approached Ashley
"I'm sorry miss, but I can't allow you to go anywhere, so might as well give up and give us what you got" he said with a small hand gun. "We don't want anything bad happening, do we?"
Ashley looked up at the tall man "Move out of my way, I really don't feel like dealing with this today" Ashley took a step to the right. The man was confused for a little bit
"Hey, hey!" He blocked Ashley's path once more.
"What's going on over there?!" The man in the black vest called out, taking his eyes off the girl.
Ashley was angry at this point. She was very annoyed now, this was gonna end bad. The man in the white shirt backed up in shocked, the young witch's hair started to turn white. eyes glowing red with rage. Both the men looked towards Ashley and pulled out their guns and pointed towards Ashley.
"FIRE!" the man in the black vest yelled out. They both shot at the girl only for the bullets to stop in mid air and fall to the ground. Ashley then stuck out her left hand, the wind picking up. She then blasted both of the men. The girl was watching in horror as the two men were screaming in pain, then they both vanished in the blast. Ashley's hair gone back to normal then walked away.
The girl stared at Ashley as she walked away. She couldn't believe what she just witnessed, but she was also pumped. She never saw anything like this in her life, she just had to meet this girl with powers. She followed Ashley for around 8 minutes. Ashley noticed she was being followed by the same girl who was getting mugged. Annoyed at this Ashley turned around.
"ALRIGHT, WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT DO YOU WANT?" She yelled in anger. You could see her eyes light up red.
The girl stepped back a bit in fear "I--...I just wanted to say thank you for saving me." The girl was shaking
Ashley's eyes gone back to normal and stood there "I didn't save you, okay? I was thinking of leaving you for dead but one of those guys tried attacking me. So I sent them away."
"...where?" the girl asked.
"none of your business where." Ashley turned back and started walking. The girl didn't give up though, she ran up to Ashley walking by her side.
"My names Emma. What's yours?" she tried asking. Ashley didn't reply.
"So...are you like a wizard or... yeah?" Emma asked with an awkward smile. To be honest she was very scared of her, but she wanted to know her too.
"I'm not a wizard. I'm a witch. Now leave me alone, I don't want anything to do with you." Ashley sped up
"Why not?" Emma asked trying to keep up with her.
"BECAUSE! I don't even know who you are nor do I want to know. Just go already and leave me alone." Ashley said furiously.
"But I thought we could be friends or something. You look like a very cool person to hand out with." Emma smiled "And it looks like you could use a friend"
Ashley suddenly stopped. Emma stopped walking as well, she thought she might have said something wrong and got worried.
"Friends..?" Ashley asked quietly
"Uhh...Yeah, if you want. We could maybe even be best friends." Emma replied.
Ashley took some time to think about this. Somebody actually wanted to be her friend? even after seeing her blast two guys she still wants to be friends? is she crazy?! out of her mind?!
"I don't need any friends. I don't need you, I don't need anybody." She stormed away.
Emma was a small bit upset. But, she didn't want this girl to get away so easy. So letting her walk ahead Emma started to walk towards where she went. an hour passed and It was getting dark out, Emma was scared and regretted following here. She heard strange noises in the woods. Se wanted to turn back but she gone already too far that she couldn't turn back now.
As she was walking she heard a twig snap from behind her. Emma looked back and saw a hungry wolf, it looks like it was ready to make her his next meal. She slowly walked backwards away from it but the wolf starting walking up to the poor helpless girl. Emma fell back and the wolf jumped towards her. Emma put her arms in front of her face, but nothing was happening. She opened one eye and saw the wolf being carried in mid air by some sort of green bubble.
Emma crawled where she bumped into somebody. She looked up and saw the same girl with the two big ponytails.
Ashley threw the force field back sending the wolf flying "Are..are you alright?" Ashley asked as she helped Emma off the ground.
"Y-y-yeah..." Emma asked in shocked. She was frightened of what just happened, a lot of things happened at once.
"Come with me" Ashley said walking back.
Emma looked back then ran towards Ashley. "T-thank you so much. I can't thank you enough."
"It's nothing...really. Don't make such a big deal out of this"
"Not a big deal?! you saved my life. There's no way I can repay you. I'm forever grateful" Emma stopped Ashley to hug her.
Ashley shoved her aside "Alright....and you already did repay me."
"Wait, I did?" Emma asked in confusion.
"Yup. You are now my friend"
Emma's eyes lit up in happiness. Emma did it, she became friends with her. "Yayy!" she said cheerfully.
"oh, by the way. Names Ashley..."
Emma smiled "Nice to meet you, Ashley." Ashley give out a small smile and started to walk again with Emma by her side. Today was a good day for both girls. A brand new friendship has been made. What else will happen next? we'll find out soon enough.
