Back then I would've said Minish Cap or maybe the Oracle games but since A Link Between Worlds dropped thats been my favorite 2D Zelda for its sheer "solidness" I guess. I'll admit stuff like Link's Awakening has more soul and vibe but ALBW just has the best design in terms of puzzles and exploration for me personally
