Poll Favourite and least favourite Wario Land levels?

Out of all the levels in the Wario Land series, which ones did you like the most and least, and why?

Personally, my favourites have to any of the haunted house levels. I mean, Crescent Moon Village was always my favourite stage in Wario Land 4, and it was Bad Manor and Boogie Mansion I liked most in the Wii title. I also tend to have a soft spot for castle/tower/fortress themed levels, which explains why Syrup Castle was my favourite area in the first and second games.

For least favourite, I'd say the following:

Wario Land 2: The Ruins Under the Sea. Just found it annoying, with some irritating background music.

Wario Land 4: The Big Board. Liked the concept, the style and the music. Didn't like being stuck because I hit the wrong number on the dice block and then needed to play the level over. It's why on Super Hard, it's the one level I never bothered getting 10,000 coins in for the gold crown.

Wario Land Shake It: Gurgle Gulch. Never been a favourite, and I always found the 'win without taking damage' mission a pain in the ass.

So yeah, what levels are your favourite and least favourite?

Let's see...
For Wario Land 3, my favourite must be the Frigid Sea. I don't know why, it is probably because of how pretty the colours get in the day, in my opinion.
As for my least favourite... I'm not really sure. I guess it is the Forest of Fear or the Castle of Illusions, I never liked these levels much.

Now, Wario Land 4. My favourite is the 40 fridge. I must have a thing for ice levels, ha. It also has an awesome music.
But, I know exactly what is the one I most dislike... Doodle Woods. That level is the worst one. The pig that keeps spamming you with enemies is extremely annoying. And the part after the frog switch is not very good.

Finaly, for shake it, my favourite is the derailed express. Bamboozle village is also pretty good. I have no idea what my least favourite for this game is, though. It makes so much time since I played it...

Not gonna comment on the Wario Land 3 bit, since I haven't got to these levels yet. But as for your other level choices...

I agree entirely. 40 Below Fridge is a pretty nice level in the fourth game. Indeed, what I really like about it is how it's an ice level completely unlike any other in video game history. Think about it, what's every 'normal' ice level like?

A christmas 'wonderland' with typical conifer trees, snowmen, penguins, a remix of Jingle Bells in the background and maybe Santa Claus.

40 Below Fridge on the other hand completely throws aside these cliches and introduces an actual 'industrial' level with an ice theme. It's one of the reasons I love Wario Land 4 so much in general, because it avoided traditional cliches near enough entirely. You had no happy grass land level to start (Palm Tree Paradise was at least part beach level), no corny egyptian style deserts, no typical haunted house (the Sapphire Passage had four great 'ghost' themed levels, none of which were the traditional 'Big Boo's Haunt' style setting), no traditional castles or lava worlds or whatever... it was fresh and interesting.

As for Wario Land Shake It choices... yeah, good choices. I loved Derailed Express when I played it, the music alone is pretty much epic:

And while I wasn't as much of a fan of Mount Bighill or Bamboozle Village, I will give them credit for a Japanese village themed level in a Nintendo platformer. Those are extremely rare.

What I really like about these two levels, is that they are easy, even in the last word. Even though you faced FAR more difficult challenges, Mount Bighill is not extremely boring. It is simple, easy, and fun. Bamboozle Village does the same thing, except with a slight difficulty boost.

Yeah, that's a good thing too I guess. Reminds me of why I really liked fighting Bowser Jr in Mario & Luigi Dream Team. Because despite being a 'bonus boss', he wasn't ridiculously hard or unfair to fight. He was just an entertaining opponent.

I always hated Parsley Woods as a whole in SML3. It just...was so annoying.
I always liked the 4th S.S. Teacup mission a lot.

I HATE Beat the Giant Bee and Escape from the Ruins in Wario Land 2. Always found the Bee boss to be a pain.
I kinda think the entire In Town chapter was my favorite, as well as very difficult...

I have not played Wario Land 3 much currently, so I'm not gonna say which ones until I beat it.

Wario Land 4? Hmm, I kinda dislike Arabian Nights... I just kind of do.
Love the Curious Factory. Probably mostly for it's music!

I dislike Shake It!! as a whole though, so the entire game fits into the 'bad stage' category for me.
