Fox McCloud is in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie

CM30

Diamond City Mayor
Diamond City Leader
As announced on Nintendo's Twitter account for the movie here:

So, yeah. Given that we now have appearances from half the SMB 2 cast, ROB, Pikmin and now Fox, I don't think the odds of Wario or Waluigi appearing in these movies are particularly low anymore. Heck at this point, an appearance from someone like Mona or Captain Syrup wouldn't be outside the realm of possibility...

Who do you think will appear in these films in future?

It's funny because I thought the opposite, we went from exclusively Mario, DK, etc. characters (with stuff like Duck Hunt and Diskun being subtle references) to 3 distinctly non-Mario series characters who'll probably actually show up not as mentions but in person. And with that in mind, knowing that they can make it like, a smash bros universe or whatever, I thought how dissapointing it'd be if they skipped over Wario/Waluigi in favor of whatever's popular (But I'm still more on the optimistic side they'll show up, these are still Mario movies after all). While it's super cool to see all these characters, I still think the plot has too many characters/games going on, like the fact we got all those characters in a movie highlighting World/Galaxy/Wonder is wild to me

Also, it suddenly hit me and I've been thinking about it for a while now, what if in the post credits scene, we saw the Wario Car in a nightime cityscape? THAT'S how I think it's gonna happen

I love the idea of non-Mario characters showing up, but just as long as they show some restraint and use them extremely sparingly, I feel like they should be a rare surprise with nobody being out of place or overstaying their welcome

The Pikmin being there is fun and nothing too major, and it's also a way to have small cute giberish speaking creatures similar to Minions from the same studio so I get it

I wonder if Samus could appear? Metroid might be too dark, but if Fox can show up, I'm sure Samus could be just as much of an ally too. And I can't imagine them dwelling too much on Star Fox either, which makes me think Metroid wouldn't be much of a problem. But then again I feel like it's a matter of opportunity, I guess Star Fox makes more sense with them being in space, so for Metroid it'd be now or never
