Fan Game Greed FrameWork - A very unifinished Wario Land framework I made

Putting the DZ back in Diamond Zity

So a bit less than a year ago when I'd be bored I'd work on making Wario Land physics on GameMaker Studio 2. I forgot about the project very shortly after I started it and I'm not sure if I'll ever touch it again so I thought to post it here:

That being said, I still might work on it a little more if I have to drive to, that way I can polish it enough and add other moves to make the source code public so people can make their own games with it. The only thing I'm afraid is the code's readability.

There's been things I've been thinking of adding:

Grab - Wario can grab defenseless enemies with a dedicated button to then throw them. It should be smoother than in WL4 and won't handicap speed.

Ground Pound - Similar to WL4 but launches close weak grounded foes higher. Wario can strike them with a Shoulder Bash while in the air to which will launch them far away.

Roll - Wario will be able to roll by pressing Down while moving. This will be similar to Sonic's rolling in classic games. The roll will also bounce off walls.

If you have any other suggestions, I'm all ears!

That's pretty interesting so far. You definitely seem to have something resembling the basic movement mechanics from Wario Land 4 here, so I'm curious to see where it goes

This is awesome, bro! If this winds up going further into development, do you plan on adding any other moves from past Wario games? The Hyper Suction would be a pretty cool one. It could work like Anton's scream button but in reverse.

Thanks! This is definitely a cool idea! The roll jump after a Shoulder Bash is already a move borrowed from World. Also, what does the AntonBlast scream do exeactly? I haven't played it yet.

The only problem I have with adding moves is the sprite art... I don't know how to do pixel art yet... but I could definitely try to learn.

I actually hadn't noticed till you mentioned it. That's dope. I think I just needed to hear the sounds that go with it.

Basically, instead of sucking coins up, it pushes enemies away.

No pressure at all. This is already more than anything I could do.
