And to be honest... I agree with him here. The game itself has some good ideas, with the graphics, music, characters and story being excellent all-round.
It's just the broken touch screen controls and obnoxious treasure chest mini games that drag down the whole experience. It's another example of a promising game being crippled by its developers' obsession with using the gimmicks of the console its own, good design be damned.

I guess I just look at the game differently, I haven't played the game since elementary school, but I remember loving it, but I also used to love Shake It until replaying it recently and not finding it as fun as I remember it.
I'm also kinda disappointed he didn't go for 100% like the other Wario games he played.
Eh, I think we're all a lot more forgiving of questionable game design decisions when we're kids. Like yeah something akin to Big Rigs or Superman 64 is still going to be awful for us, but something with a few rough edges, questionable design decisions or dodgy features? It can still feel fun if you're new to it all.
I feel like when you're a kid there is 2 options:
A) You think you're bad at the game and everything is on you so you don't recognize bad game design.
B) You think the game is unfair and every death is due to bad game design and not your own doing, if you don't win, it's a bad level.
