To be fair, Super Mario Maker costumes come in three distinctions:I like that Warioware gets some more promotion, even if on Ashley's shoulders. I mean, until she gets her own game which doesn't feature any of the others, I can't say she's 'Overrepped'. A theme and a Mario Maker costume's not much, in the long run.
They could've made a generic halloween theme with Mario or something...To be fair, Super Mario Maker costumes come in three distinctions:
1. amiibo
2. Mario himself
3. "Just draw out of a hat, we don't care" (Seriously, Dr. Lobe? Mahjong tile?)
And besides, Halloween is almost here anyway. So who better for such a theme than Ashley?

yeah, I agree.
beside, while it's kinda dissapointing, it'd be silly to take an offhand comment in a 3DS app not made by WW's creator too seriously. if Goro Abe comes out and say "ashley is the only thing of value to emerge from warioware", then I suppose we can ineffectually whine on message boards lol.
What?
Blanche, don't go on unrelated threads to talk trash about something you dislike. It makes you look like an asshole.
We already has a user like that. He left before I joined, but reading some of his posts, I can say that we don't need another person like that.
Classic Ninty, focusing on what the fans want instead of what the series is supposed to be about <3
rly tho, nothing against Ashley herself, but this is getting ridiculous. Game&Wario has the option to pet her head to calm her down when you crash onto walls too much in her minigame.
I think the "slightly strange" part is referring to Fronk.
And yeah, on top of that, Ashley wasn't even in the first WarioWare. But maybe I'm just saying this as someone who's been with the series since the very beginning, though, and considered the original game to be one of the best in the series.
Or to put it another way, I find it hilarious how people always complain about Smash Bros. being Kid Icarus and Fire Emblem-biased, yet want WarioWare to become "Ashley & Friends".
Yeah, you're right about that. Plus, I don't see these things likely to make it outside of Japan.I'm not sure what to make of this. I mean it's pretty obvious that Ashley is getting some extra special attention but in the grand scheme of things this is relatively minor stuff...
When exactly did Ashley become associated with Halloween? I mean I feel like this has been building up for some time and isn't just related to Halloween. All the popularity that she's getting right now seems like it can be traced back to the fact that it's almost Halloween. And as mentioned before in previous threads she's kind of just becoming Nintendo's face for Halloween (which is very fitting in my opinion). So all of this new popularity may be Nintendo trying to push their new face for Halloween this year because I don't think they used her for anything last year, it doesn't seem like any of this "forced popularity" will stay longer past the holiday season.
But who knows I could be dead wrong and in the next Nintendo direct they might announce a new game centered directly around Ashley and it will send everyone into a rage.
Ashley simply likes headpats. If a stylus patted me on the head with such good intentions, I'd be pretty calm too.
I think Nintendo just kind of did it this year out of the blue and that's why it may seem so extravagant especially since there hasn't been a Ware game in some time. When exactly did Ashley become associated with Halloween? Most of the things here seem like they can fall under Halloween, like the theme and comic, but the only other recent one that can't really fit into Halloween would be the costume in Mario Maker which could just be because of the new merge.
But I guess I could see all the new appearances leading up to a bigger thing.
I was wondering since Nintengasm said something similar about Ashley being some sort of face for Halloween and was wondering if there was some other Halloween Ashley stuff I wasn't aware of or if it was just some strange rationalization.I think Nintendo just kind of did it this year out of the blue and that's why it may seem so extravagant especially since there hasn't been a Ware game in some time.

Why does it seem (and let me clarify that I'm not targeting you specifically) that whenever one mentions Ashley's popularity people immediately hop to the conclusion that the fan base is all pedos and waifu based weirdos, sure some characters are going to have some fans like that but that seems odd to pick out a small piece of that fan base out of one that's growing.this is the same company who's ignoring daisy and a few other good mario/wario characters though
it's like they're purposely pandering to characters with fanbases who have a waifu obsession
