Nintendo Switch Online Wario Land 3 and 4 Icons

I posted the NSO Wario Land 3 and 4 icons in media, both having 5 icons each, and I'll also specify Mad Scienstein is grouped with WL3 and Bubble Wario is grouped with WL4 since they appear in both games.

The most noticible change being the updated Wario from the WL3 cover art, as well as some minor changes such Keyzer's snot bubble being reflective now (before all I could find was it being clear white) and the art just being kinda smoothed out overall

Nintendo cropped some of the artwork to fit the icons, and all the WL3 ones have a grey background while the WL4 ones are clear, so I kept a small border around the photos, I hope it was the right choice.

The icons last until tomorrow, and I hope they're optimized as best as they can be. I uploaded the screenshots to the NSO app, and from there to my PC. Unfortunately I do not own an express micro SD for the Switch 2 or a capture card, but I'm not sure if that's necessary. A thought occurred to me though, maybe it's possible to get a consistent background when setting the icons as your profile because they let you change the background from there. As long as you have the icons they can be saved anytime iirc

Perhaps these can be added to something like Mario wiki, I'm totally fine with these being used for whatever, I just never done any wiki stuff before

I do need to ask though, do the names mean anything? Feels kinda weird that they don't have descriptive names that make it clear what each icon is.

I think for half of them for the description I put WL3 icons and the other half WL4 icons but maybe I should have changed the filenames to characters instead of just dates, I don't remember if there were names when doing it on the Switch

Hmm okay. So the file names aren't the ones from Nintendo's servers, but just kinda random?

Yeah it's just info like the time taken that got created after I screenshotted them, sent to the NSO app, and then from there to my PC

I wonder why they recolored Wario and gave him flat colors. They did this with another Wario icon too.

For consistency I suppose? But honestly I don't like, you can't rewrite history like that. Plus the magenta and mustard combo had a charm to it, these colors feels kinda generic and bland in comparison.

I actually don't mind some of these, just the WL3 cover one feels really weird to me for some reason, and I finally put my finger on it. The gradients and reflections on Wario's purple and yellow usually look really nice and you can still see it in some of these, and idk just having that taken away all of a sudden makes it feel kinda generic I agree

Here's Wario from some JP art so his lower hand can be in view, I'm fine with the others but just the way they changed this one is baffling to me
