So, does anyone know what this tileset is meant to be?

It looks metallic, but I have no clue what connection is has to the theme of the level. Are there lots of weird looking metal structures in Persia/ancient Iran?

I also have to pity the guy making the level. I mean, the tileset here is pretty confusing to set up properly, and has quite strange collision detection.

Could be wood... or something covered in clay? I don't know. I have no idea about arabian architecture.
But I've wondered that before as well.

I think it's gold or at least gold plated, given the overall theme of the game and the abundance of gold in ancient Arabia.

That's a good point, it definitely looks like it's made of gold.

Still not sure exactly what it's supposed to be other than that though. Some sort of gold modern 'art' structure?

Maybe it was for going inside a house or something. Depending on what part of Arabia you're in the insides of the houses have an extremely similar color to this but not as shiny.
