It's been rumoured for a while now, and Nintendo definitely needs one to announce more games for the Switch, with a new Wario game potentially included.

But given it's not been announced yet, that raises the question of exactly when it'll happen. When will Nintendo announce the Direct? End of January? February? Some time later in the year?

Based off of the last couple of years, I think February/March is a generally safe bet for the first Direct of the year. But really, the best answer I can say is that it'll happen when it happens.
