What's up with that? Wario Land II and 3 both had very minimal marketing, with II not even getting a commercial (or it wasn't archived on youtube or anything) and 3 being completely ignored in Nintendo Power aside from a tiny review. At the very least, II did get a guide. Japan exclusive of course.

fuck you noa dshuncfhkasnxhfdjaklnhsdj

After the success of SML3, it really baffles me why II was shunned worldwide. 3 is a little more understandable due to the recent announcement of the GBA and everything, but that still doesn't excuse the minimal marketing done.

So, yeah... Discuss!

Speaking of marketing, I wonder when Nintendo sort of stopped with the Japanese voice acting in commercials and other non-game things.

Wario Land 2 had a commercial here in Holland:

I don't recall this one in my own memories, though.

This roughly translates to:
Black Sugar Gang Member 1: "Watch out, don't wake Wario."
Black Sugar Gang Member 2: "Sheesh, had a rough day?"
*noise*
Black Sugar Gang Member 3: "Oh no, he's awake!"
Wario: "Who's stealing my gold! When I get you, I'll turn you into firewood!!"

Funny how the Wario Land franchise is well known in Europe, where I live they keep confusing Wario's name with "Warrior"
