Wario of the Switch era

・Two WarioWare games were released
・It was prominent in Mario Tennis and Mario Golf.
・Games inspired by Wario Land, such as Pizza Tower and Anton Blast, were released.

I think Wario is better on the Switch than he was on the Wii U.
Hopefully Wario will be treated better in the next era.

Wario on the Swicth is actually pretty weird because we got two WarioWare games but they both had weird quriks. There's GiT which had the gimmick of controlling the character instead of the microgames itself which was a pretty fun gimmick but still had its flaws due to the simplicity of most of the microgames. So people felt as if it didn't feel this lack of WarioWare on the Switch. So they made Move It!, a sequel to Smooth Moves which actually is a traditional WarioWare, problem is that game has basically nothing to offer after you beat the main game. There's two minigames and some multiplayer modes but it feels pretty dissapointing after Gold and Get it Together that came before being packed with missions and extra modes. Like why are we back to Smooth Moves level of content ?

We still didn't get a Wario Land game which is a shame. We did get Wario-likes which I didn't play (though I'm planning to get AntonBlast) but it just isn't the same. Those take much heavier from Wario Land 4 from what I've seen. Thing is, Wario Land doesn't have a given formula, it changes every two games. Wario Land 1 and VB were similar to Mario but Wario'd, 2 and 3 had reactions, 4 and Shake It! had the runback timer so I except a new Wario Land to do something completely different.

Honestly, I just really hope we'll have more Wario stuff in the future because with WarioWare running out of gimmicks, I'm worried Wario might not be a series anymore and I don't want that.

Wario on the Switch is at least better than Wario on the Wii U, since we got at least two 'semi traditional' WarioWare games rather than a mini game collection and the series as a whole seems to be getting a bit more recognition than in the last era.

But the lack of a Wario Land game (or any other traditional Wario platformer) definitely makes it feel lacking compared to some of the earlier eras of Nintendo.

Yes. If a new Wario Land is released, I want them to do something completely new, but I hope they don't abolish the reactions.
