Alright, so I had in mind that I was going to make a sort of 'optimal' Wario design that covers the bases of all of his games, using elements of both major costumes he's had, along with some other assets. One thing I can't decide on is what to do with his shoes. I firmly believe in streamlined palettes when it comes to characters and keeping their colour scheme as concise as possible, so Wario's green shoes always jutted out to me despite the fact they're quite recognisable.
Giving it some thought, I noticed how many times his actual in-game appearances have delved away from this, usually due to (surprise surprise) palette limits. Here's a handful in regards to what I mean:
See? Always a colour that's already in his palette, but never green and very seldom the same as in another appearance.
Anyone got any dog in the race regarding this? Preferences? Suggestions? I know it seems like a daft thing to split hairs over, but I do want to know. I'd like to get this design right, afterall.
