What do you think of Wario's roulette sprite in The Big Board?

I thought maybe this was an earlier version of Wario's sprite because they look close enough at a glance, but it didn't match any of the beta stuff. But upon closer inspection, I still think it's a pretty impressive lower resolution version of the sprite. (Also, in the game when you select the tiles, they pop out a little bit, so there you can actually see up to his chin)

How would you feel if the Wario Land 4 sprite got tweaked a little bit and we got something slightly different from the final product? It's hard for me to say after being so used to what we have, but I thought it would be interesting to imagine if we ended up with a lighter haired or thinner eyebrowed Wario

I think it might be an early sprite, but downscaled slightly so it would fit the tile. They probably didn't feel like replacing it, or just kind of didn't notice, so it remained. That would be my guess.
