What will it take to get more Wario content in Super Smash Bros?

Would a new Wario Land game do the trick? What about one that sold X million number of copies?

Because the series seems to keep getting shafted in this series, even when new games are released in the Wario Land and WarioWare series. What would it take to get Sakurai and co to give it a bit more attention?

Let's see: When developement of Ultimate has begun (2016), Wario franchise(s) was (were) dead, and we heard nothing about it. (Reason why Rex from XC2 isn't playble, but a mii costume, and why we have no new Wario tracks). Right now, WarioWare is back, and we have chances to see Wario Land shine once again. We can have some Wario content with DLC, and I see two ways to add it:

1)If all future Mii costumes will include at least one new/ported track, We can get Wario character costume and some tracks.

2)If somehow we will get new Wario character, which I don't believe in any way, there will also be a stage and few more music tracks (or they will go completely lazy, and won't include any). Come on: Wario Land remixes, ported WarioWare Gold tracks, anything!

F-Zero has been dead for far longer and still got several remixes.

Honestly, Smash has never been reflective of how big a series is or even recent success stories, the team just adds whatever the hell they feel like. Fire Emblem has more characters then Zelda of all franchises, Kid Icarus in For got an amount of content that makes it look as if Uprising did Splatoon numbers, Animal Crossing didn't have a fighter in Brawl since Sakurai at the time, felt it wouldn't fit and Kirby continues to pump out new games that do well, only for the focus to be on the old Sakurai Kirby games anyways.

It really doesn't matter how well Wario does, Fire Emblem could bring out a game that does bad enough to be an embarassment to Nintendo and Wario could do well enough to (somehow) outsell Mario and Pokemon combined and FE would still get more content as long as the Smash team continues to like it more.

More new games could help to make the team look more at Wario for content, but it's no guarantee and it never will be.

Pure luck.
That's really all that can be said in these cases.
Now if we get a new Wario rep such as Syrup, Kat and Ana or Ashley, obivously that would bring in more Wario content. (Like how K-Rool brought in a bunch of DKC rep) But beyond that, it's whatever Sakurai and his team want.

Sure there have been exceptions to the rule such as Ridley and K-Rool (As well as the upcoming DLC, which was chosen purely by Nintendo themselves.)

But that's just how it plays out sadly.
