What would a Nintendo 64 Wario Land game have been like?

Would it be a 3D collectathon like Mario 64 and the Banjo Kazooie series, or a 2D sidescroller like Yoshi's Story and Castlevania on Playstation?

And would it have aged well, given the hardware?

I do think a wario land 64 game would be alike Wario World.

Considering SM64 was an amazing game, Wario Land 64 would be even better.

Alternatively, a 2D Wario Land could be similar to Kirby 64 (but with more treasure!), which would be also really cool.

It would be neat to see it be done like Crystal Shards was with similar bosses, different powers, a creative new way to play, and a decent story. If only I knew how to ROM hack. .-.
