Your favorite "little things" in the Wario Land series

I always liked how getting all the treasures in Shake It essentially turns Wario's garage into a castle :

It's a nice compromise, since the platformers can't seem to decide on whether Wario still has his castle or just lives in the city now, Shake It actually manages to have both in a way.

I love any of the backgrounds in Shake It. Good Feel put so much detail into them, and it always seems like there's something going on in the backgrounds that you wouldn't notice unless you stopped to look. I'm a huge sucker for the background of the Rollanratl fight. Also Crazy/Drunk Wario music!

Yeah, Wario Land Shake It's background design was great. Some examples of that which I liked included the moving ships in the Japanese style levels like Mount Bighill, the monsters in Bad Manor/Gloomy Manor and the casino stuff in Glittertown/Neon City, all of which actually looked quite cool if you stopped and focused on it for a bit.

I really like the ending of SML3: Warioland.
You go to Kitchen Island to get the giant golden Peach statue.
After the fight against Captain Syrup you escape the collapsing tower.
The dust settles down and reveals this gigantic golden statue that grows into the sky.

I always think something like:
"What is this? How can this be? Why would Peach want such an obscenely huge statue of herself?"
It feels like the pointe of a good joke.
You came here for the statue and found it, but you can't do anything with it.
Mario stealing the statue is also a nice touch.

Mario stealing the statue was a nice bit of (somewhat cruel) humour that subverted the whole expectation of getting what you're after at the end of a story. Reminds me of the ending in Shake It, which did something very similar.

Except that in WL:SML3 he did get what he wanted in the end. In Shake it he gets nothing. And that just sucks. :wargrr:

After Mario has stolen the statue, he simlpy shrugged it off.
I don't think he minded it much. I doubt there was a way for him to transport it anyway.
Overall it seemed to he was badly prepared to begin with.

Doesn't help that we already had the joke of Wario not getting anything in the end in Master of Disguise and I actually find that version far more humerous since the question of how Wario would even take the fictional treasure with him is a valid one.

Plus there were also the Special Episodes, were he get's to have some success, like beating Cannoli to the punch once more, just because he's bored.
