For the first time in I've been able to get into anime. I've been watching a bit of Jiu Jutsu Kaisen and Death Note lately. The other animes I've tried in the past, I wasn't able make it past the first couple of episodes.
It's wild how many indie games Wario has inspired.

Feel like we've almost beaten the Mother series at this point.

And kudos to you for going a different way. Just outta curiosity, what didn't you like about WL3? And what mechanics are you adding from it, into your game?

I don't really dislike the game completely either but I find it a bit sluggish and confusing at times. The reactions placed just to waste your time are also frustrating to me. I still had fun playing it though and I do intend to try it again someday.

The mechanics I'm adding is the fact that every "Star" (equivalent to Stars in SM64 or Shines Sprites in Sunshine) will give a new ability which will enable you to collect more stars. I originally wanted to implement a reaction system but I fear it'll make the moveset a bit bloated. I'll see what'll I'll do when I get there.

Yeah, I get that. After you beat Rudy The Clown, it's super easy to get lost. Which is why I still haven't hundred percented the game yet. :wl1sad:

Though I think I was pretty close in my last playthrough. I might even give it another shot in a bit.

So in your game, you start with nothing like in WL3, but as you progress, you unlock new moves as well as getting stronger and faster too? I like it. Just as long as it doesn't take too long to unlock some of the moves.
Otherwise people might get bored.:wariosleep:

I wonder if Antonblast would've been more popular if it came before Pizza Tower

I suspect so. Pizza Tower rode right off the need for a Wario Land spiritual successor, while AntonBlast (while still doing well on that front) missed the boat a bit.

That, and the controls and atmosphere was pretty raw compared to Pizza Tower.

It also felt like the game didn't know what it wanted to be. The Kickstarter advertised the game as this big Wario Land inspired game fans have been itching for, but overtime started to lean much more towards Crash Bandicoot than Wario Land.

Pizza Tower knew what it wanted to be from the start where Antonblast didn't.

But one thing I can say Antonblast did better than Pizza Tower, are the bosses.
Pizza Tower's bosses were ok, but they felt more like mini bosses, where Antonblast's bosses were actually pretty hardcore.
ok that galaxy movie direct was something (lol childish gambino is yoshi) but on the other side im actually fearing that warioware is going to be 6 ft underground and im not ready for it :(
well, that direct was... something...
still no announcement of if wario will be in the movie, but gambino's playing yoshi (I'M NOT MAKING THIS UP BTW ToT)
