Honestly, aside from just a passion project (which will hopefully give me some gamedev knowledge as well, since modding games CAN give you some of that), PL4 also gives me a reason to come back here aside from checking notifs, counting to a million and that dead-in-the-water ass fanfic (I haven't abandoned it, I just lack ideas.)

If there's one thing I've learnt over the last few years, it's that pretty much everyone responsible for running a large website is the worst possible person to run such a large site.

Social media is obvious here (*looks at Musk, Zuckerberg, etc), but wikis, forums, subreddits, etc seem like great examples too.

If I ever make a decent living again, I'm setting up replacements for a lot of websites.
