Wario Forums thoughts

A thread to post random thoughts you have that relate more to the forums themselves or the community because I know sometimes I have thoughts that don't really belong in other threads but I don't want to relegate to the Social Thread or so.

So here's my first thought I guess to start out. Is the average age of active forum members decreasing? When I first joined there seemed like there was a greater mix of different ages. Now it feels like we're getting a lot of people in their late teens, early 20s but maybe that's not really the case.

I usually disagree with the whole "Make Wario forum active" agenda. I mean, it's nice to talk about Wario and stuff, but I just like messing around and holding conversation with buddies who LIKE Wario.

So in other words, you prefer the community to the subject?

Eh, that's not exactly a rare thing. Quite a few people hang around at forums for the community and members.

Yes, you are correct.

I only joined here because my irl friend invited me. I didn't even like Wario at the time. But I can say that since I been here, I grew a love for Wario itself! The community kept praising the games and eventually I did too! I'm excited for new Wario games! The Wario discussions are still nice!
Still an Ashley fag tho

I know it sounds controversial here, but you do know that being a fan of any Wario character counts as being a Wario fan, right?

If you were a fan of Mona or 9-Volt or Orbulon or Dr Crygor or Ashley or Captain Syrup or whoever else, you were still a Wario fan.

I must agree, I prefer the community over the subject, even though I join a community for the subject. Not only can I speak my mind about the subject but I can learn the interests of other people with that one same interest like mine.

And so far I must say, I've felt at home, I've never felt so well accepted and I feel happy for having us around. And we do have ups and downs, but every good family has those, it's part of the package, you could say!

I disagree, you can be a a fan of a character and not be a fan of the game or Wario even. I consider being a Wario fan as someone who loves the character Wario and or the games in his name a great deal. Being a Fan of something kinda implies that there is a great love for it. Just because I like facebook, it doesn't mean I love the internet, so would you call me a fan of the internet? I am an Ashley fag now but I just "liked" Ashely back then. Would you say that just liking Ashley and only Ashley(or whichever character besides Wario) leads to being a Wario fan?

I have played Ware touched before I joined here as a kid. I absolutely thought it was dumb. Every aspect of the game from Wario, to the story, and ending with the micro games. I only liked Ashley but that was about it. Just thought it was cool. Whenever I looked at Wario in any other game he made appearances in, I always glossed over him and cringing inside. I heard of a few games and went "ugh" when I saw they were about him. But this was back ain the past.

The thing with that is that pretty much no one uses the forums for just hanging out. The only people who really use it for that purpose I imagine are those who aren't on the Discord server. The spike in activity following the announcement of WarioWare Gold pretty much just shows that.
