This. They didn't even have Wario's iconic ball rolling form when he's on a slope. He just slides backwards on his belly.
Yeah the soundtrack felt was pretty bland. The only song that really stuck with me was the one in Captain Syrup's shop.
Honestly, if Wario and Captain Syrup weren't in it...
As beautiful as the game looks, I always found it to be the weakest Wario Land game of the bunch.
It was slow, and the gameplay just wasn't that fun. It also felt a little too clean for a Wario game. Especially compared to how crass and crude WL4 and Wario World were.
I think I would've had...
Exactly! That was bull!
Maybe there was supposed to be some brief dialogue that hinted towards Wario which ultimately got cut.
Like one Toad telling another Toad how all of the gold was stolen by some big, scary, yellow guy who stunk of garlic or something like that.
I think if I knew in advance that Wario wasn't gonna be in it, I would've enjoyed it more. I kept expecting him to appear as a brief cameo or appear in the end credits.
I still liked, I just wish I knew Wario wasn't gonna be there.
I was re watching his Wario videos, and yeah, Master of Disguise was definitely his second worst one. He didn't cover the story, the characters or say hardly anything positive about the game.
Not saying he had to love it, but I wish he tried to be a little more positive.
He just skimped...
