I mean, with how common it seemingly is, what if it's actually perfectly normal to be that way and people just think it isn't.

I mean, depression and anxiety are common as well

I can't really say much since I don't know a lot about autism

I mean I'm wondering if it's comparable to like say deaf culture. People who are born deaf are part of a distinct culture that doesn't see itself as handicapped and views it as a different way of viewing and experiencing life.

Autism is real, but I do believe that many people are misdiagnosed with it, like people who just have bad social skills are diagnosed with autism. I do believe that theres alot of people who are misdiagnosed with it.

I think it's real. It's just that some people assume they must be autistic for having worse than average social skills.

Maybe I misworded. What I was trying to communicate was, is autism really a "condition"? Could it not just be a different kind of normal?

It most likely exists. I've met people who were autistic. I actually suspected it most cases before being told they had autism. Of course, some aren't obvious and there are people who like to use autism to their advantage.
