I know how inactive I am here, but I don't really have many other places to express my feelings, so...
Worms Rumble (Pfp checks out, I know) has been announced recently. Unlike other games in the series (Turn-based 2-4-6 player strategy) it's real-time combat 32-players game in Smash Bros. esque style. Many people seem to really dislike this title already. Well I'm actually excited to see what they are going to do with it.
Most criticism come from indestructible terrain, apperantly "Forgeting series' roots" and Battle Royale mode.
1)Terrain. Some Worms titles allow you to set if you can destroy terrain or not. Even then, it has been already confirmed, that some parts of the maps are destructible, and even then having everything being destroyed would sure make it painfull to navigate around, concidering this game is much more action paced.
2)Gameplay change. You know, I had "What if Worms was more like classic shooter titles?" at least once in my head. This is pretty much my thoughts turned into reallity. And you know, Team 17 has been releasing quite a lot of classic Worms games with minimalistic changes through second half of 2000-s. Since WMD they learned, that you don't need to make simmilar games every single year, and it shows. They are experimenting, and it's good. And yes, I know some were expecting new 3D game, but you should remember that 4 Mayhem (despite being good game) almost made T17 go bankrupt, if not for Open Warfare. They pretty much said there's no way in hell they goona make another fully 3D game.
3)Battle Royale... idk. I'm just netural here kek.
