Well, I have made some progress.
The board isn't finished yet, but half the Cards have been implemented.
Unfortunatly, the 3D artist turned out to be quite busy with life and stuff.
So I might have to find another modeler.
But he did finish one model, so I'm going to show it to you guys...
Turns out, J.J.W.Mezun also has a website about just Wario Land 3, which, unlike "Wario Land Land", is still up.
Here it is.
Althought, this one seems to be much older than his info on WLL, and having less info.
$25 for ten models - 8 tokens and two buildings. That's $2,50 per model, which is really nice.
That spearbot was origionally planned to be a firebot. But modeling a flame coming out of his body would be to hard.
Here's a series of pics that shows how the spearbot progressed. Textures should...
Thank you, everyone, for the great feedback.
Here's the current status of the board:
I have not started making the Chance/Chest or Property cards yet, but I do have templates for them ready.
Nothing new to share regarding with the 3d models yet.
Would be it be worth trying to create custom Wario money?
Or would you guys be ok with using something already available, such as: Steam Workshop :: Toy Money
The only thing on the board that I am unsure of at the moment is what to do with Income and Luxury Tax.
My origional idea was New Game and Perfect Tax, but I'm sure I can do better.
They don't even need to be taxes, just any type of mandatory payment.
Making progress with the board. Properry cards won't be a challange either.
The real hard thing would be the tokens and buildings. I kind of want to have actual origional 3d models.
Does anyone here know how to use Blender? 3d modeling sounds complicated...
haha, nearly every IP has got its own Monopoly.
From cartoons like Family Guy and Spongebob, to music groups, shops, food products - everything has its own Monopoly d:P
I own the Spongebob Monopoly set. The optional rule here is that PLankton is a special token that starts at Chum Bucket...
So regarding Houses and Hotels.
My old idea was to use game consoles - GBCs and 3DSs.
But I think I'd like them to be actual buildings this time.
How about Mansion for house and Castle for hotel?
It is meant to be the same as regular Monopoly, but a few minor rule tweaks wouldn't hurt, as most themed sets have them.
There's no other good place to put Forest of Fear.
Or maybe we could have "Lost In The Forest" as the jail space?
I'll give screenshots a try. Gotta take new ones thought.
New idea: putting Forest of Fear on Free Parking (right next to Out Of The Woods), but making it a unique property.
Cost: 200 coins
Rent: 10 coins times the number of properties the owner has.
