Anyone having problems with the alerts lately?

So here's the thing, I get alerts notifying me when someone replies in a thread, quotes me, or rates me, but there's a problem that i've been having recently, basically threads that are supposed to alert me are not notifying me. like in a thread I watch, I will get a alert for a post on a thread, but when I actually go there, there's a whole bunch of posts there that should have notified me about but for some reason did not, is anyone else having this problem too? or is it just me?

TLDR: I'm not getting alerts at the rate I should be.

The alerts work this way: If you post or rate (not sure if when you read the thread too), the alerts are triggered on. When that happens, you get a notification for new posts on that thread, however, if you got the alert but didn't read the new post, the next reply won't be alerted. This is to avoid flooding the alert box with content you're not interested in.

So if you post something, and a member replies to your post, you get alerted. If you don't open the thread to read the reply, you won't get an alert when another person replies afterwards. Note that if more than one person replies to a thread, the alert says "<Someone> replied to the thread <X>. There may be more posts after this."
