Are people getting tired of WarioWare?

WarioWare seems to be important to Nintendo, but it seems to be getting boring, especially from people who want a new Wario Land or Rhythm Heaven. What do you think?

I can't say I'm tired of them because I don't play WarioWare games, but I really do wish we could at least get another Wario platformer. Something like a new Wario Land, World World sequel, or even a Master of Disguise sequel, I don't care, I just want a platformer starring Wario again.

I really like the WarioWare franchise but I do agree it might be getting stale. Especially considering they kinda ran out of gimmicks becuase they used up buttons, tilt contorls, touch controls, motion sensor and character control so really I don't see how they could make another WarioWare game except for a sequel to DIY or something. If they wanna make other WarioWare games without repeating themselves they're going to gave to innovate a bit.

I do also want to have a new Wario platformer but I don't think it's lack of games is related to WarioWare. Some people claim that WarioWare replaced Wario Land but I don't think that's the case as they co-existed during the 2000's. Plus, since the division that worked on the orignal WarioWare-s and Wario Land-s games don't exist anymore, WarioWare is now developped by Intelligent Systems while the last Wario Land was developped by Good-Feel that are now developping Yoshi games.

An interesting thing for me is how the Wario Land games were really coming out when Mario wasn't. He was first introduced in Super Mario Land 2 of course, and then the next game is the start of the Wario Land series, with the last game being Shake It! for the Wii in 2008 once the New Super Mario Bros series had already started. Even the prototype for a Virtual Boy Mario Land turned into another Wario Land. Maybe once Nintendo brought back Mario's 2D platformers after the absence they wanted to focus on him again and not Wario. Or maybe that does not make sense. I don't know.

I think Mario having 2D platformers these days may actually be a factor as to why we barely get Wario Land games. Wario was there to fill a void that Mario was leaving when he ventured into 3D territories because, as you said, he wasn't doing any 2D jumping until NSMB came out.
