Charles Martinet stepping away from voice acting

"A tRiP wItH tHeSe ChUmPs DoEsN't FeEl LiKe A pRiZe, WaH!" , I could do a Wario voice closer to Charles's than that, I personally like going for the higher pitched World style voice
"Get outta here!" "Have a rotten day!" "I'MA NUMBER WAHN!" "Good luck!"
just so much more charisma and personality
 
I hope the negative reaction to the new Wario voice doesn't persuade Nintendo to give up on full voice acting for future WarioWare games, but yeah I agree about the new voice. It is really rough and distracting. Just goes to show how talented and likeable Charles Martinet was. I'll always wonder why Nintendo decided to replace him.
 
The new Mario voice is fine enough and I can see the actor improving over time but yeah this Wario voice is kind of a baffling decision. Wario's voice isn't that hard to mimic as seen from all the memes. It sounds like they got someone to try to do a gruff voice but clearly can't do it without straining their voice so it sounds really forced. Even this meme sounds better to me:



Not trying to be harsh on the voice actor but so far he just sounds miscast.
