Did anyone else play Wario Blast on the original Game Boy?

Personally, I kind of liked it. And while it was definitely a lot closer to a Bomberman game than a Wario one, I'd say it was arguably most titles in even that series.

So did you play Wario Blast back in the day? And if so, what were your thoughts on the game?
 
Fun story. Wario Blast used to be my mom's favorite game. At one point she had all the passwords written down.

It's a fun game, but it's just a Bomberman game that Wario was put into so that it would sell better in western countries.

It's differently worth a playthrough if you want my opinion.
 
Wario Blast was my introduction to Bomberman, as I hadn't played that series prior. I'm a big fan of the older games, but past the (2nd?) N64 title, the series went off in a direction that didn't really keep my interest.

I still have my copy of Blast around here somewhere. I should figure out where it is.
 
Yeah, you're probably not the only one who had this game as their introduction to the Bomberman series.
