I remember reading an issue of Nintendo Power, and if my memorie's accurate, it was a screenshot of a supposedly upcoming Wario platformer. It had Wario in his WarioWare outfit, and it was slated for the Nintendo DS. Sadly, this game either never came to be, or became Wario: Master of Disguise.

I don't know where the issue of NP went. Knowing my pre-2009 self, it was probably destroyed by my lack of regard for magazines in general. I got better post-2009. Not perfect, but a massive improvement.

But I haven't seen any discussion on it anywhere, and it's never been heard from again. Did I just dream this screenshot up? If not, what happened to that game?

I've been subscribed to Nintendo Power since the 90's, and I don't remember something like that. Maybe it was possibly a planned costume that was scrapped? I can't think of any functionality his biker outfit could possibly have besides his bike, and I think a speedy motorcycle wouldn't bode well for a platformer ... or whatever MoD was.
