So my mom and I always exchange xmas gifts lists with each other, due to the fact that we are the only people to get gifts for each other (excluding CMV of course, as we exchange gifts, too), and Im trying to think of a video game she can get me.
She doesnt have much money, in fact my gift from her will probly come out of my money anyway : p But anywho, I usually pick something on the cheap end with her. The only thing I can think of right now is like Soul Calibur for Dreamcast and Soul Calibur 2 for Gamecube. While cheapish, its unlikely that shell find them at our game store (she cant buy things online), but Im really struggling to think of what else to add to my list...
I was thinking about putting like "any non-sports game for Dreamcast", but I dont trust her judgement enough to believe she wouldnt pick up some cheap junk game thinking its a good gift : p
Shell probly want a video game for her 360 as well, its all she plays anymore : p One problem she has, though, is forgetting the name of a game and explaining the cover to me. Its usually something along the lines of like "It has two Japanese looking characters on it, and like a werewolf or something", that really makes it hard to find what she wants

Oooh, I was for real thinking about that game yesterday! : p Not like as in wanting to get it though : p I loved OoT growing up and I actually remember spending some time doing the fishing thing at lake hylia just for fun, and Im playing the OoT remake for 3ds atm. I was doing the fishing thing in order to get the golden scale, and that game came to my mind, I actually even considered maybe trying it one day : p

The Power Glove is also proof that the "Nintendo Seal of Quality" since even 30 years ago, has not always been super reliable.

Antiform I would have thought that people would have realised by now that the Nintendo seal of quality merely refers to the fact that the product is officially licensed and that it meets objective standards, aka those 10 million finger bends and won't explode on your arm, not that it's a product of subjective quality, aka it being a good product worthy of five stars from reviewers.
Someone was a sega fan : p

Even today I get a hearty chuckle when I see the Nintendo seal plastered on anything. Granted - I enjoy quite a few games that put it to shame (in modern pop culture, at least).

Haha! What a gas. I always wanted to try Dynamite Dux, but not the home ports. A friend of mine was very fond of SEGA's original arcade game and recommended it, knowing it would be right up my street, being a big fan of quirky/obscure brawlers.
Does anyone still remember shitty Nickelodeon 2000's video games? If so what did you think of em? the spongebob games were pretty shit but the racing stuff was also kind of shit too tbh.

Yeah im pretty sure battle for bakini bottom (or whatever it's called) is considered great. Ive actually thought about buying the gc version before. Came close but can't justify cuz, while I appreciate alot of the humor of the show, im just not that big a spongebob fan.
And haha, lara and guts. Am sure that was during the time the dreamcast was relevant, dont think there were many games made based on that anime outside the dc : p What a weird choice that was.
So, tax season is approaching, which means im gonna buy a bunch of video games I want : p (if i can't afford a new instrument anyway, doubt I can) Heres what I have planned currently.
Shenmue for dreamcast. My brother gave me shenmue 2 for xbox like a year ago, but I don't wanna play it till I play the first one, so am waiting, figured now is the time to get it : p
Evolution 1 and 2 for dreamcast. Looks like the kind of game id like, so figured id like to try it : p
Dark Cloud 1 and 2 for ps2. Ive been wanting to play these games since high school. Also I need ps2 games anyway, never have many games for it.
Rouge Galaxy for ps2, a friend showed it to me years ago, and I always thought id like to try it.
I could buy a more modern console, but my thinking is that im enjoying my older consoles, and theres still tons of games on them I wanna try, so I don't really feel justified like spending all my money on like a switch and one game : p Am not worried about it atm.
Is there anything anyone is wanting to get soon?

Power Stone is too expensive : p Would probly buy it if I had a friend to play it with, haha. It totally looks super cool, though. Wish I owned them : p
