I must admit, Family Guy isn't my barometer for morality, but Seth MacFarlane is a fierce advocate for gay rights; the issue is complex, and I'm not suggesting the topic is off-limits for comedy. That said, to me it's indefensible to revile a person for their inherent traits because you disagree with their social/political beliefs. I have no stake in whether YouTube allows these types of videos to be monetized, but it takes five seconds to see this went beyond one mere offhand joke; the dude made countless homophobic remarks across multiple videos that weren't even jokes--they were jabs often based off of gay stereotypes. It would be willfully ignorant for me to disregard that.
