Opinions on the straight ports/remasters Nintendo has been putting out?

I'm talking about Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, Donkey Kong Country Returns HD and Super Mario Galaxy 1 + 2. I feel like these re-releases are extremely lazy and over-priced. SMG 1 + 2 is €70 which is I found is way too pricey. I was able to find those games for €20 each on the Wii, nevermind that it's the second time they lazily port SMG1 and that SMG2 should've been in SM3D All Stars as it's called ALL Stars. DKCR, I literally bought for €5 on Wii just a week before they announced the re-release and Luigi's Mansion 2 for 3DS is now €15.

Furthermore these ports only ups the resolution and that's it. There's not any new content, you might as well emulated them as you'll get about the same quality.

I'm pretty opposed to remasters in general, it's almost always a low-effort cashgrab, especially with Nintendo. At least making remakes like TTYD is acceptable (even if it had its fair share of contreversy) as its worth playing even for someone who has the original but those ports just aren't. Those ports are just here to take money from those who wanna play those games but don't have the hardware to, so they are obligated to pay double the price if not more to play them on modern systems.

The SMG1+2 re-release especially pisses me off because they were the first game I really got into and hold them dearly (even if I don't like playing them that much tbf). But what do you think?

Not a fan of the pricing at all. If these were like 20-30 quid, I'd be okay with them, but for full-price they're ridiculous.

It's a shame too since other remasters and remakes are pretty good. Paper Mario TTYD and Super Mario RPG had incredible remakes, Super Mario 3D World got a whole new game as a side mode, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe got a ton of new content even before DLC and the Mario vs Donkey Kong remake isn't half bad.

It's just a complete toss up whether a Nintendo remake or remaster is a high-effort deal or a lazy cash grab, and sadly the latter are getting more common.
