Happeh nuw yeer evrubuddeh, here's something neat I just found :
The Drama CD that came with the Puyo Chronicle Special Edition ripped for your listening pleasure.
Your guess is as good as mine on what's going on there, but I am curious, especially with Strange Klug being involved, despite him not even appearing in Chronicle.
This japanese streamer is how I have seen the full main campaign of PPC's RPG mode, so if you had problems trying to find footage, because of the embargo or any other potential reason, you can go here.
The other arcade game that I make a reference to is the Pachislot;
Not gonna lie I have grown an odd fascination with these obscure 15th Anni. based arcade games, they are just very unique and largely forgotten relics of the Fever era with some interesting spins on Puyo. Not to mention Medal Edition has dozens of exclusive cutscenes (appearently Sig thought Carbuncle is a bug) and the Pachislot is notable for the far more dynamic then usual presentation.
It quite a shame, I'd actually really love to try these out for myself, but even if I somehow ended up in Japan at any point of my life, I honestly doubt that any arcades still have one of these around nowadays.
Ah well, I'm at least glad that videos like these exist so we can at least see them in full and heck, know that they exist to begin with.
Another Japanese-only thing that'd be difficult to experience as a foreigner but would like to are those Puyo Quest-themed cafes with the Puyo themed food and decor.
I'm not sure how great the food would be but it'd be cool to go to.
I know it sounds weird to be impressed by it, but this is the first time in my life that I have seen a non-japanese Puyo ad, not gonna lie, I thought non existed until now.
Considering that all the recent and surprisingly numerous western Puyo outings used the normal Puyo Puyo name I can't say I'm surprised, it seems like SEGA is doing some streamlining there.
