After his appearance as the final boss in Super Mario Land, and as one of the normal bosses in Super Mario Land 2, Tatanga always struck me as a very 'Wario adjacent' character. As in, he's not technically a Wario Land character, but he feels much like one, having quite the involvement in Wario's early schemes.
So, do you think he could be someone they could bring back in the Wario series proper? As either a supporting character in a Wario Land game or a minor one in the WarioWare series?
I would like to see him make a comeback since I do associate him with Wario, even if he appeared before him. Another character worth mentioning is Katsini, one of Wario's henchmen in the SNES version of Wario's Woods who more than resembles Tatanga, which I personally interpret as another tie between the two characters.
As for how to bring him back, I think he could be worked in to either Wario series in a villainous role. Maybe he holds a grudge against Wario for treating him poorly in the past. I wonder how a showdown between him and Orbulon would go.
