Every time there's a discussion about who to include in Smash it's always characters from a franchise that already has characters in the game.

Funny that, I've noticed this too.

Did anyone actually ask for Shulk before he was leaked and revealed? Before he showed up, almost nobody cared about the Xenoblade series. But as soon as he makes it into Smash, then all of a sudden it's the greatest thing ever?

Hell, it got people expecting him to appear in Xenoblade X, which he doesn't.
