So that's what Wario Forums' predecessor looked like...

Aka Kitchen Island, the first ever Wario site I can remember seeing:

It was an interesting place at the time. Yeah, not very big I'll say that right now. But interesting none the less, especially given that no other sites out there were specifically about this franchise. None came about between it's closure and Wario Forums opening either, which is one of the main reasons I started this site to begin with.

But yeah, it's long gone now. Shame really, especially given that some of the more interesting stuff (like their own Wario Land 4 remix project) is apparently lost along with everything else on the site.

So, anyone else remember this site when it was still around?

Damn an old relic from time, too bad we can't look at the threads there, there's surprisingly a couple Wario's woods threads on there that would have probably been interesting to look at, maybe we could make threads based off of these old ones, just to have a modern perspective on things And I wonder what the Wario fandom was Like back then? Probably a bit different from the chill fandom we have nowadays.

Aww wished I knew it before its closure. :cc

It looked like a simple and cool forum though... 2008 was pretty much the year were the forums-types websites were totally discarded or closed.

Hey watcha look at that, after looking at the forums once again, apparently one of our own was a member of the forums.
@Behonkiss, aka the guy who created Warioware Tooned who is a member here was apparently a member on the old forums, maybe we should ask him what was life like on the old fourms back in the day.

Yep! And WarioWare Tooned actually had a page there on the main site too:

Interesting that the site ballooned to over 540 members but there were never more than 9 on at a time.

Yeah. It had that weird issue where a lot of people joined, but very few of them seemed to visit or post. I mean, somehow they also only had about 1000-2000 posts by the time it closed.

This is a stark contrast to this site, which has slightly less members (375), but far more posts (45,521)

Did you guys bake Wario cupcakes fir the site members? Imagine cupcake shaped Men'ono's.

"Have a rotten friggin' day"... I used to hate that slogan. Now I can't help smiling at it.

Back in high school I visited Kitchen Island all the time for their soundtracks and funny articles. This was years before Wario resources became common, so having a site that stored all the soundtracks, artwork, etc. was exciting. When I joined here last year and saw the name "Behonkiss" I had a huge flashback. I can't believe WarioWare Tooned is still around today!

Kitchen Island was run by a guy named Sean, who was also a member at DK Vine. I used to see him everywhere, but it's probably been ten years since I've seen him active.
I used to think he closed the site because of Wario: Master of Disguise. After it came out the site went silent. I assumed he'd gone off Wario due to a decline in quality.
