They're finally revealing the Switch 2! Kind of a generic name, but they're probably terrified of having another Wii U situation.

Our man Wario makes an appearance in a tease for the next Mario Kart game though, that's what counts!

Here's hoping we get a new Wario Land on the Switch 2! :p
 
I was afraid that this console would have no new gimmicks and it turned be true. I don't want Nintendo to become like Sony and Microsoft and just remake the same console but enhanced, I want them to try to innovate. I know it may seem impossible as they have done many things in the past but still. I know they can find a cool gimmick if they really want to. And yeah Switch 2 sounds like a generic name but it's probably because they learned from the Wiii U like @Care said.

With it's lack of gimmicks, it's gonna be hard making a new WarioWare game.

As for the new Mario Kart game.... I wasn't even sure it was new. Yeah, the models seemed kinda different but I'm afraid it's gonna very similar to Mario Kart 8. Yeah, "don't fix what ain't broken" but don't give me the same meal every lunch either.

Really hoping for a new Donkey Kong game and a revival of Wario Land too ! I'm also looking forward to the new 3D Mario game, I wonder what it's going to be. Hoping it won't be an open-world

If there's a new 3D Mario as there tends to be for new consoles, I hope it's some shit similar to Super Mario Sunshine. Favorite Mario game by far if I'm not allowed to choose spin offs like the Wario Land games.

Actually, fuck 3D Mario... give 3D WARIO... WARIO WORLD 2......

Honestly, I'd rather they try to sometimes new for Mario. Sunshine is pretty similar to 64. We got two Galaxy games and I don't really want a new Odyssey game. I'll just hope it'll have that grandiose feeling Galaxy had.

As for 3D Wario, I'd like to see that even though I'm not really a fan of Wario World. I mean, Wario Land has a lot exploration so it could be an amazing game if it's translated to 3D properly.

Whatever the case is with a 3D Wario game, I'd hope they keep the combat of World. Beating the shit out of enemies was satisfying as hell in that game.
 
As much as I'd love WarioWorld 2 for that arcade-y beat em up lotsa coins thing it has, a 3D WarioLand approach akin to Mario 3D Land/World would be a better way to get more people into it. Wario has good Old School Collectathon potential but fat chance of that ever happening.

More onto the switch 2 itself I'm a bit excited for that possible mouse controller. If they won't give the better touchscreen that DS/3DS had or the Wii's more naturally intuitive pointing then the weird sliding controller is an interesting alternative. I wonder how that can play in a WarioWare. The brief Mario Kart footage looked cute and more appealing than 8's graphics. And speaking of appealing aesthetic, the Switch 2 design looks better to me than Switch's in the same way that I think a GBC looks cooler than the GB. That's the best way I can explain it they take the same model and give it "The Cooler Daniel" treatment and I'm here for it.

As for a 3D Mario I want more Odyssey because that game is perfection, UNTIL you try to get every single moon and suddenly the genius of that game's design becomes its downfall and the game is just too damn crammed full of all these spots you gotta touch and if they can just find some way to refine this new 3D Mario style I will eat it up like your dog eats the food you drop.
 
Although I myself have never played it, I have seen playthroughs of Odyssey and I am surprised by how many missions there are.

Yeah, I find the Wario movesets to be pretty underwhelming for what Wario is capable of. Same thing for Sonic tbh, but I guess neither of what I said is an unpopular opinion.

Sonic's ass got so shafted in Smash, I'd say he deserves a new moveset more than even Wario. At the very least, Wario's moveset represents something and is original, Sonic's is quite literally just a bunch of spin dashes and copied moves from other characters.

Heck, even Master of Disguise. I haven't played it and I don't if I'd like it, Smash is made for that kind of references.

Agreed. I'm a huge Sonic fan (surprising I know) and there's so much they could have done. Even the Classic games ahve more than just spins. Heck, there's literall two Sonic fighting games, how come they didn't take anything form them ? It was right there !
 
I can only imagine how different it would be if Wario was introduced in Melee instead (as Sakurai has stated that if he could add any other character to the game it would have been him) before WarioWare happened, and if Sonic was not a last minute addition to Brawl, with more time spent on his moveset.
 
Nintendo Switch 2 needs a new Wario Land game.

And just admit it, if Wario World would been well made, you would wanted a new Wario World videogame. That means if a new Wario World videogame is well made, you will like it like Wario World 1 would been if Wario World 1 would been like a very good videogame. But you think you don't want a new Wario World, only because the first Wario World is not very good game.
