Is this a joke or serious? I've seen comparisons made before his own music and certain songs but it's almost always a drum beat or bassline and not something as blatant as this

That's what I thought at first haha though since it was a long time since I've looked into anything relating to Streets of Rage was wondering if during the time I wasn't looking maybe he developed some sort of weird reputation of the internet as a plagiarist
