Theories on the new character in WarioWare Gold?

As you know, a new female main character is seen in the promo artwork for WarioWare Gold. You can see her to the left of Ashley in this picture:

But who do you think she actually is, and how do you think her storyline plays out in the game?

Honestly, I'm starting to suspect she may have some sort of connection with Ashley in terms of story or what not, since her design definitely seems similar. It also seems somewhat ominous looking, as though said character may not have the best intentions or what not.

So what about you? What do you think this new character will be like based on the recent artwork?

Not having any theories so far, but I too think she is related to Ashley is some way.

I mean I know it's too early to judge completely, but just from my initial knee-jerk reaction, this strikes me as if they are trying to get another character with a Ashley-type audience, which is a terrifying thought.

There are definitely similarities to Ashley in terms of design.

But I'm not sure I'm as cynical to think they added a character purely to try and cash in on her popularity here.

This opinion is purely based on what we have at the moment, but I'd rather get another wacky and out-of-place character like Dribble&Spitz or Orbulon.

Took a closer look at her and it seems she has pretty big eyebrows. That tends to be a sign of a mischievous or eccentric or strange or otherwise standoutish character when drawn on a female character.

Joking aside, my initial reaction was admittedly a bit negative but I'm trying to have some restraint. I think it was Pistachio Shack that said that this new character could have some kind of dynamic with 9-Volt as shown from his rather lovestruck expression in the trailer so that could be something interesting to look forward to.

As I said, my reaction is entirely a knee-jerk one, if she ends up being a enjoyable character then I honestly don't care about anything else and I'm all in favor of being proven wrong when it comes to negative impressions.
