And yes, this is official, it has a lot of.....that kind of humor, like the Mario manga tend to have as well, but there is something nice about some of the Ware cast existing in manga form.
Yes! A official Warioware Manga!
And it's just as crazy and wacky as I expected one to be.
Seriously there needs to be a translation for this one of these days as i'm very curious.
I don't mind slapstick humour in Wario, it works well. They still made his arse the vocal point of the humour though. baby steps.
Edit: I don't wanna sound like an Ashley fan boy but i have to.
Ashley is very kawaii in manga form! They should just give Ashley her own manga. I know some of us (myself included) get our jimmys rustled when Ashley gets more attention than the rest of the Ware cast but it would sell well i'm sure as Ashley is profitable and also, I never realized how much i need this kawaii Ashley in my life.
I don't think Wario is really a factor in any of this, none of the numerous Mario Manga have ever been released in english either and I'd be very surprised if the very...
japanese humour didn't play a big part in it, frankly it's surprising that they eventually started to release Super Mario Kun in french.
Okay, that's it. I'm officially blaming the Japanese Wario portrayal for corrupting the western Wario portrayal with all those immature and overly gross jokes.
Wario throughout this whole thing was just one big mood. Even with no translation it was obvious that he wants nothing more than to get some goddamn sleep-- he's technically doing so on other's time, but he's just too tired to care that much.
I'd love for an official Wayro plush that looks like that (especially like the spindly stache/wide-eyed expression from the 2nd panel).
...y'know what? Those two panels could easily be a microgame from Twisted or smth. "Wake me up!" and you have to tilt the needle into position so that it stabs the offending ass. The difficulties would be Wario (and the doll) in increasingly difficult-to-tilt-over-to-in-time sleeping positions.
If you lose by poking the wrong spot, Wario immediately seizes up and clutches his chest, dies, and gets replaced with a tombstone, NES style.
oh, and i cropped these like pfp's on purpose, btw
It was one of the many comics bundled with a specific issue of Famitsu DS + Cube + Advance. I remember posting scans on twitter and a bunch of Japanese WW fans finding it and exclaiming they had no idea it existed so I'm going to assume it's rare as shit lol
