[Wario Land 2] So... How does Wario get from his basement to the SS Tea Cup?

Wario Land 2 has the branching story that we all enjoy.
But the only parts that don't make sense is when a secret chapter leads back into the main story.
If you go for the "Go Down The Cellar" secret chapter, than after finishing that story, Wario ends up on the back of the SS Teacup, ready to head into Maze Woods. But how the heck did Wario get here?

Same deal with Ruins At The Bottom Of The Sea.
They would bring Wario back to the main story, into the city chapter.
But again, how does Wario just suddenly get from the Ruins to the city?

There's no explanation, as far as I know.

So, then, why did Nintendo do this?
They could have just had the basement have it's own ending, and the ruins to not connect to town.
But instead, they connected the chapters, without much explanation of how Wario got there...

Pfffhaha, yes, good point! I actually thought it was generic enough of a picture to be considered both the SS Tea Cup and the exit of a cliffside mine of sorts.
As from the Ruins to the City part, I would assume some time has passed, but indeed it seems a bit farfetched! I'll have to watch those back again but I can't think of a good excuse for those!
