Wario was considered for Super Mario RPG

Over the past week, former Squeenix employee Jiro Mifune who is credited for "Visual effects and plot assistance" on SMRPG has uploaded various sketches and trivia about the game's development.

Today, he upload various drawings from a Three Muskeeters-themed proposal for the game. Which includes this:

Kinda wonder if Booster was meant to be Wario once to be honest, given his obvious similarities in design and somewhat jokey role in the final game.
